Long Weekend Love Fest

Hiya Friends!

How was everyone’s long weekend? Did you celebrate Easter? We had a lovely time and it was just what we needed to rejuvenate. I loved so many things about Easter weekend and want to write them down to express my gratitude and also to share them with you!

First things first, Hubby got 4 days off in a row! It’s so nice to all be together as a family of 4. We were able to do a few things around the house and just play and enjoy each other. <3

Road trip! We drove 4 hours away to our home town to visit old friends and family, and also to celebrate Easter together. We hadn’t been back to our old stomping grounds in a few months so it was so nice to be able to catch up with friends we don’t get to see often.

Celebrating my baby’s FIRST birthday! We had a little pool party at the hotel we stayed at and had a little celebration with aunts, uncles, cousins, grandma, and friends. I made some grain-free cupcakes and we sang happy birthday. It was simple and perfect. I may write a post about my feelings about my baby turning one because seriously, how does that happen so fast!?!

Family Easter dinner. We have dinner with hubby’s whole family at his Uncle’s house every Thanksgiving and Easter and it is always something we look forward to. We shared a lovely and delicious meal with all the fixings, we visited, we talked and ate way too much. The sun was shining and it was a warm Spring day and everything about it was perfect.

Easter Egg Hunt. Grandma put on a little Easter egg hunt for the grandkids and it was so much fun watching Lilly run around with her cousins and squealing every time she found an egg.

The whole weekend was exhausting (as travelling with kids usually is) but so much fun and filled me right up with love! It’s so nice to have a place to go visit that feels like home, with people that mean so much and it’s equally as nice to have a place to come home to.

What about you? Did you celebrate Easter? What is on your love list?
