How to eat an avocado seed (and why you want to!)

Hello Sweets!

I love me some avocado! I feel like it goes with everything! So creamy and delicious and we all know that avocados are also very nutritious. My very favourite superfood! However, did you know that the seed is actually even more nutritious?!  And to think we have been just tossing it out! I had heard of eating the seed many years ago but never really gave it much thought because I thought it was unnecessary weird. Lately, there has been a lot more talk of this floating around so I thought it’s about time I gave it a try!

Health Benefits of Eating the Avocado Seed

Very high in antioxidants. May help to lower cholesterol and high blood pressure.

Perfect for glowing skin. The high antioxidant properties help to boost collagen and repair damage.

Very high in fibre. Great for digestion, will help to curb cravings and help keep you feeling full, and will also help control blood sugar levels.

Reduce tumours. The avocado seed contains a very strong antioxidant, called flavonol, which has been shown to reduce tumour growth.
