I have always loved a good “self-help” book. I love challenging myself with new perspectives, new ways of thinking and just always be growing/learning/expanding. There have been many rockstar books released fairly recently and I have been
slowly working my way through them. Any one of these (or all of them) would be great to add to your collection. I like to own and read physical books (much to my husband’s dismay of the ever growing amount of books on our shelves) but I have also enjoyed several of these on audio because you can listen while making dinner. Yes please!

9 Books You Need to Read
You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero This book was gifted to me a couple years ago and I really loved it. If you need a quick kick in the butt to help you realise how awesome you actually are and how amazing your life can be when you do, then this book is definitely for you.
The Universe has Your Back by Gabrielle Bernstein I love everything that Gabby Bernstein does/is/writes! This book does just as the title suggests, with many lessons on how to transform fear into faith and know that the universe is on our side.
Daring Greatly by Brene Brown Brene Brown’s main teachings are about vulnerability and how having the courage to be vulnerable will have a huge impact on all aspects of our lives. If you struggle with the need to be seen as perfect, then this book is for you.
Adventures for Your Soul by Shannon Kaiser This is such a fun and interactive book full of lessons from the author’s own life. Each section of the book has action steps for the reader, as well as journal prompts. It’s totally engaging and motivational and something worth coming back to over and over.
50 Ways to Yay by Alexi Panos Another interactive book with space to answer questions asked, this book is so simple but so powerful and full of inspiring stories. It literally gives you 50 ways to be a happier person.
Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes This is a funny, honest, inspiring and totally relatable account of what happens when the author decided to say yes to life.
Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert As someone who has a strong desire to live a more creative life, this book really called to me. Elizabeth Gilbert shows us exactly how to have the courage to do just that.
Love Warrior by Glennon Doyle Melton This book is a memoir of self-discovery after a failed marriage and what it means to love and to be brave.
The Awakened Family by Dr. Shefali Tsabary This is a must read for all parents! I will be doing an entire post about the lessons we learn in this book because it is just so important. Dr. Shefali shows us exactly how to be a conscious and compassionate parent and how much better off our families will be because of it.
Those are some of my must reads and I hope you will check them out! Do you like to read these types of books? What are some of your favourites? What would you add to this list?
